P+ provides Staffing for Yacht Rock Detroit
Productions Plus was proud to provide event staffing for Yacht Rock Detroit, a two-day waterfront music festival held at the iconic Roostertail in Detroit. Featuring nationally recognized artists, VIP hospitality experiences, food and beverage service, and thousands of attendees, the festival brought music fans together for a memorable weekend along the Detroit River.
Staffing the Guest Experience
Productions Plus staffed a team of 17 experienced event professionals to support guest services and festival operations throughout the weekend. The team included two Leads and 15 local Promo Specialists, strategically positioned across the venue to help create a smooth and welcoming experience for attendees.
Our two Leads brought previous experience as Promo Specialists and event leaders. They were responsible for checking in staff, coordinating assignments, managing the team throughout the festival, and serving as a primary point of contact to help ensure staffing operations ran smoothly.
The 15 local Promo Specialists supported attendees at multiple touchpoints throughout the festival. Their responsibilities included:
- Assisting with guest check-in and ticket scanning
- Greeting attendees arriving by ferry and through the main entrance
- Providing wayfinding and answering guest questions
- Supporting high-traffic areas and helping maintain guest flow
- Assisting in the VIP hospitality area by keeping supplies stocked, organized, and presentable
- Communicating with event staff when bars or food stations needed replenishment
- Assisting guests with ticket upgrades and directing them to the appropriate locations
- Creating a welcoming and energetic atmosphere throughout the event
