RETAIL MANAGER – DOWNTOWN DETROIT
Seeking a driven, organized, and customer-focused Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of a retail management position located in downtown Detroit, Michigan. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting retail staff, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and can effectively balance operational priorities while supporting team performance.

Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee daily retail operations to ensure efficient and consistent execution
- Develop and manage staff schedules to support business needs
- Supervise and coach retail associates to promote strong performance and customer service
- Enforce opening and closing procedures and operational standards
- Monitor sales performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and support achievement of sales goals
- Coordinate floor coverage and traffic flow to maximize the customer experience
- Oversee inventory processes, reconciliation activities, and operational accuracy
- Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and performance coaching for retail associates
- Manage customer and operational escalations, resolving issues professionally and efficiently
- Prepare and deliver weekly sales and operational reports to designated leadership
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational expectations

Preferred Requirements:
- Previous retail management or retail operations leadership experience preferred
- Experience managing staff scheduling, coaching, and operational performance
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience utilizing retail point-of-sale and inventory management systems preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred
This position is responsible for operational leadership and team management within the retail location. Merchandising authority, vendor contracting authority, and purchasing authority are not included in this position unless expressly authorized in writing.
