Job Title: Account Manager

Position Summary:  Driven and client service-oriented veteran account manager for automotive brand/s. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of event/talent management for Client Brand’s execution of national live marketing events, tours, and other applicable efforts; externally acting as day-to-day client and talent liaison and internally working with a team of multiple staff.

The candidate must possess the ability and experience to be immediately effective in their role. Ideal candidates will need minimal training and will have proven prior experience in account management, and automotive marketing. Familiarity with automotive brands and their products; auto shows/exhibits/tradeshows and their operations is strongly preferred. Ideal candidates can demonstrate an ability for diplomacy and efficacy under pressure and successful compliance with tight/multiple deadlines. A proactive, can-do, teamwork-driven attitude is a must; a passion for the automotive world is preferred.

Essential functions:

  • Responsible for two full-time yearly programs
  • Responsible for miscellaneous events based on department workflow
  • Responsible for obtaining a clear understanding of Client direction and strategy
  • Responsible for staying abreast of the automotive industry, competitive landscape and trends within the automotive space
  • Participates in all Client and Client Partner meetings and calls. Manages the flow of information to the relevant P+ teams
  • Contributes to conversations, drawing upon automotive or other relevant experience to bring new ideas to the table as appropriate
  • Functions as a partner to Clients by understanding overall marketing goals and developing effective solutions
  • Has a clear understanding of the look, experience, demographic and overall representation the client is looking for in the Product Specialists on their tour/team
  • Leads recruitment effort for Product Specialist for each team, interviews candidates and presents to the clients
  • Handles the hiring of new talent and releasing of talent when needed
  • Creates season schedules for the team based upon availability, seniority, demographic, male/female ratio and overlaps
  • Implements successful training each year
  • Coordinates with clients on wardrobe decisions, sizing and distribution of inventory
  • Staffs and manages all Brand Ambassadors/Local Hires at all events with tour and miscellaneous events
  • Leads Grassroots campaign to rural areas where additional staff is needed outside PPLUS database
  • Utilizes Social Media for the recruitment of new talent to add to PPLUS database
  • Manages tour budgets and communicates with Director to manage overall budget
  • Serves as staffing expert by collaborating with Clients on event improvements to leverage consumer interactions and increase the overall impact of events
  • Provides talent with guidance needed to grow and succeed
  • Coordinates all travel needs for talent to arrive in a timely and budget-conscious manner
  • Internal management of booking confirmations, PS info sheets, and Master documents for all events
  • Manges and completes billings utilizing both employee and IC model
  • Creates Break Schedules for staff to be utilized on-site during activation
  • Provides 24hour assistance to staff via phone, email or text for any urgent questions or concerns
  • Last minute ability to replace staff for no show, illness, etc to ensure adequate staffing and successful activation
  • Provides Event Summary Reports to the clients upon completion of each event
  • Processes per diem before the event and billing upon completion of each applicable execution
  • Ensures all deadlines are met
  • Assistance in the completion the Activation Grid to track GM Events Division activation percentage on a weekly basis
  • Participates in weekly Automotive Meeting to communicate each tours status company wide and get valued input from colleagues
  • Travels to high-profile events to provide hands-on assistance, continuity and Client support
  • Delivers an overall event fulfillment rate of 98%
  • Takes direction from the Account Director

  • Travel will be required

Work Authorization

Final candidate selection will be contingent on the successful completion of a pre-employment background check and subsequent background investigation. Selectee will be required to serve a 90-probationary period and participate in Direct Deposit for payment. Candidates must be U.S. employment eligible.
